Supporting Irish music, this initiative is aimed at all musicians/bands/ singers from all music genres (rock/country /hip -hop/pop / folk etc)
Unsigned artists only must submit their original song before September 30 (all artists must be from either Longford, Roscommon, Leitrim, Cavan or Monaghan). From all submissions, five acts will be chosen as finalists – each finalist will receive €700.
As a finalist, you will be interviewed and have your original song recorded live in our studios in Longford.
Throughout October, this song will be played extensively across on Shannonside Northern Sound. At the end of October, 1 act will be chosen to represent Shannonside Northern Sound in the final of New Local Hero whereby the winner will receive €5,000 and have their chosen song played across 25 radio stations in Ireland
