The Pieta House 'Darkness into Light' 5km event for Cavan and Monaghan was officially launched in Monaghan yesterday evening.
Darkness into Light is the signature fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House, which provides counselling for those at risk of suicide or self-harm, and for their families.
Over the last 6 years, over €250,000 has been raised by the Darkness into lights runs in Cavan and Monaghan. Fiona Corby - who lost her brother James to suicide 10 years ago - was at last nights launch and told her story.
