Tuesday, May 4th. Peacefully at St Francis Hospice in Blanchardstown.
Beloved wife of the late Chris. Loving mother of Dara, Shauna, Gearóid, Áine, Deirdre and the late Ciarán. Sister of Rosaleen, Jim and the late Phyllis. Greatly missed by sons in law Shane, Darren, Barry and Eduardo, daughter in law Keelin and her adored grandchildren - Finn, Daniel, Aoibheann, Fearghal, Réalta, Patrick, Caitlin, Jessica, Eoghan, Georgie, Cormac, Anna and Jonah. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Carmel’s many friends whose regular messages and check-ins kept her spirits up over the past difficult year. They would also like to thank the staff at St Francis Hospice, Surgical 1 and the palliative care team in Cavan General Hospital, the MND team In Beaumont and the wonderful carers who looked after her so well.
Removal Thursday from her late residence to St. Mary’s Church, Crosserlough for requiem mass at twelve noon, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral will be private to family.
