After losing his son Luke Aughey to suicide in 2019 Barry Aughey set about setting up a group that would help people become more aware of the supports that are available and how families and those struggling can get quick and effective help.
This led to the foundation of LA 519 which is now holding a fundraising event to mark World suicide prevention day where people are asked to host a breakfast and raise some funds.
There is also information available on QPR training through the group.... which has been rolled out already to some schools and teaching staff locally.
