Brian Renaghan was one of the publicans who was protesting in Dublin last year about the need for something to be done to help the sector as they suffered due to Covid and saw their customers travel over the border to open pubs there.
A year on and he says that things are so much worse, the mental health of many members of the industry both owners and staff is at an all time low and there is very little hope remaining.
