"Absolute anxiety" locally over lack of communication by meat plants on positive Covid-19 tests

A local TD says there’s “absolute anxiety” in Cavan and Monaghan over the lack of communication by meat plants on positive Covid-19 tests.

Earlier this week, testing of all employees at ABP Foods in Clones was carried out after two staff members returned positive results for coronavirus.

Shannonside Northern Sound News confirmed yesterday the initial positive result was notified to the company ten days ago.

Sinn Fein’s Agriculture Spokesperson Matt Carthy told Paul Reid of the HSE that the people in the local region deserve to be informed immediately of outbreaks in meat factories.
