Almost €154,000 in funding announced for community groups in Cavan and Monaghan

Funding of €153,650 has been awarded to community groups and organisations in the Northern Sound region under a government Covid support scheme.

Ten groups in Cavan and Monaghan will share in the funding.

Nine groups in Monaghan are receiving the most at over €147,000 (€147,389).

Clones Development Society will receive the most at €43,964.

Just one group in Cavan is receiving funding, with €6,200 (€6,261) allocated to Castlerahan Community Development Ltd.

Minister for Rural and Community Development Heather Humphreys welcomed the local funding when she spoke to Aaron McElroy.
