A pet owner in Cavan is appealing for information following an incident where her cat was shot a number of times.
At around 6.30 yesterday evening in the Crossreagh area, the family cat was discovered with bad injuries and a vet later confirmed that it was shot by eight lead pellets.
The cat suffered a fractured leg in the incident.

Its owner, Maeve Ashe, says she now faces a steep vet's bill.
