Gardai are appealing for information on the theft of newly planted trees in Bailieborough.
On Wednesday evening, five 8 foot tall Silver Birch trees and 30 Beech hedge plants were taken from the Cavan Road, near the entrance to Castle Lake.
Bailieborough Tidy Towns had only finished planting them at the start of the week.

In a post online, the group says a trailer or lorry would have been needed to move them because of their size and the quantity of them.
Anyone who can assist in investigations is asked to contact Bailieborough Garda Station.
