Coláiste Dún an Rí in Kingscourt has been given the go-ahead for a new extension.
The school, which first opened in 2016, has seen an increase in enrolments, meaning further classroom accommodation is needed.
Over 530 students are currently enrolled in the school and that is expected to increase further in the next year.

The Department of Education has approved the plans from CMETB.
The news has been welcomed by local TD Brendan Smith and Councillor Clifford Kelly.
