There are reports of very poor road conditions being reported right across Cavan and Monaghan this morning due to snow and ice.
Gardai have reported that roads around the Ballybay area are currently impassable at present due to heavy snowfall during the night.
A number of weather warnings remain in place - there's a status yellow snow and ice alert for all of Connacht and Leinster as well as Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal.

Most areas have seen fresh snowfall during the night leaving for dangerous driving conditions on all routes this morning.
The weather is due to turn milder later in the afternoon as a thaw sets in.
