"Brexit clarity" expected for Irish food SMEs in the year ahead

There is expected to be a large increase in the number of customs declarations this year.

Food producers are "cautiously optimistic" of the year ahead, despite a challenging 2020.

New research from Love Irish Food and PwC has found that 75% of Irish Food SMEs expect revenue growth in the year ahead.

Almost seven in ten have stated they don't intend on delaying further investment in the year ahead.

However, almost one in four food SMEs are "concerned" about Brexit.

Love Irish Food's Executive Director, Kieran Rumley, says "Brexit hasn't gone away" but told Northern Sound that he expects Brexit-related challenges for local companies to ease soon:
