A Monaghan Councillor says he will continue to fight for a second C-TEK building in Carrickmacross.

The first CTEK was opened in 2015 and was filled within seven months, creating 30 jobs in the process.

Fianna Fáil Councillor PJ O’Hanlon says planning permission for a second CTEK was approved in 2018, but no funding has been approved so far.

At a recent Carrickmacross-Castleblayney MD meeting, Councillor O’Hanlon revealed that a recent application for funding through the Border Stimulus Programme had also been turned down.
