A Cavan disability activist says progress is being made in making our towns and villages more accessible.
Today is Make Way Day, a campaign to highlight challenges to those with reduced mobility.
Among the events taking place across the country, the Cootehill Town accessibility sub-group walked around the town to highlight the obstacles they might encounter.
Bridget Boyle praised Cavan County Council for working with disability groups to include them in consultation on footpaths and crossings.
She says accessibility needs to become part of everyday life.
