Cavan family bakery awarded star from the Great Taste Awards

A Cavan family bakery has been awarded a star from the Great Taste Awards.

Cullys Craft Bakery, Arva, Co. Cavan was awarded a 1 Star Great Taste award for their Traditional Buttermilk Soda for 2020 out of 12,777 entries from 106 different countries.

The local soda bread is baked fresh every night in the custom built bakery in Arva and is operating since 1953.

Brían Cully, the Managing Director, told our newsdesk that it was a huge achievement to be recognised on an international platform on their first year entering the competition.

The product will now appear on shelves with the distinct black and gold Great Taste banner.
