Gardaí in Cavan and Bailieborough are investing the theft of electric fencing from a number of locations throughout the county.
The incidents occurred between the 5th of June and the first of July.
Garda Lisa Stephens, from Bailieborough Garda Station, says the stolen items are a vital part of farm and road safety, as they prevent straying animals.

She has urged people to remain vigilant if they are approached to buy electric fencing materials at a “bargain price”.
