Cavan's Covid-19 incidence rate has fallen by 90 per cent since the start of the latest round of restrictions.
Data released by the Department of Health last night shows another drop in the county's rate, which now stands at 89.2 per 100,000 people.
That's down from 824.4 when Level Five restrictions were introduced on October 21st.
Monaghan has also seen its rate reduce. It's at 112.4 - down from 364.9.
Both counties yesterday recorded fewer than five cases.
226 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in the Republic yesterday - while six more deaths associated with the disease were confirmed.
The estimated national 14-day incidence rate now stands at 107 cases per 100,000 - it's lowest point since October 3rd.
Last night in hospitals there were 269 people with the disease - which included 37 confirmed cases in ICU.
