The CEO of Cavan-based Carton Bros has announced he is stepping down as CEO next year.
Ado Carton has served as Chief Exec since 2019, but has informed the company's Board of his intention to resign.
He will remain CEO until Quarter 1 of next year.
Ado Carton says he joined the business to "lead it through a period of change, moving from a family-owned business to one that is a key part of a new and ambitious PLC".
He added that "while the changes required are not yet complete, it is the appropriate time for me, and for the business, to pass on the leadership of this journey to someone else".
Carton Bros is owned by Scandi Standard, and its CEO, Otto Drakenberg, says Ado "has played a pivotal role in leading the business in Ireland through a significant transition".
