The Chief Executive of Monaghan County Council says it's exciting to be included in the county's digital strategy.
The five-year plan was launched on Friday, with the aim of making Monaghan a national and international leader in digital communications.
A cornerstone of the strategy is a citizen app that would make countywide services more accessible.

However, the chair of the digital steering group Aidan McKenna said it'll work in tandem with in-person services to ensure no-one becomes isolated.
Chief Executive of Monaghan County Council, Eamonn O'Sullivan said the local authority won't be taking a backseat role.
