An initiative started by a Clones man to help homeless people stay warm during the winter months has entered its third year.
A number of coats and hats have been hung up under Connolly Bridge in Dublin for homeless people to take with them, with the organisers stating ‘clothing is essential for these people’.
Last year the initiative gathered huge attention when coats were photographed on the Ha’penny Bridge and subsequently removed by Dublin City Council.

Paddy Fryers who started the Warm for Winter group says this year they will have coats on both bridges again, but have had to take extra precautions to ensure all coats are sanitised.
