Barney Cully says he was forced to raise prices due to these increasing costs

The Managing Director of a Co Cavan Bakery says rising bread prices are the result of Brexit-related cost increases.

Barney Cully, of Cully's Craft Bakery in Arvagh, says he was forced to raise prices for the first time in more than three years due to these increasing costs.

Only 40% of the flour used in Irish bread making is produced on the island of Ireland and Barney says he also gets ingredients and packaging from England.

He told this morning's Joe Finnegan Show that the industry has been hit with Brexit-related costs for goods coming from England, and could soon face additional costs for flour coming from the North:
