A county Cavan National School has received funding approval for additional accommodation.
The funding will allow St Mary's National School in Ballyhaise to construct a new general classroom with en-suite facilities, as well as toilets for two other classrooms in the school.
The approval was recently announced by the Education Minister, Norma Foley, and local TD Brendan Smith complimented the school staff, Board of Management, and Parent's Association for bringing the project to this stage.

Deputy Smith says the funding will "considerably enhance the school's accommodation" and will be welcomed by the wider community:
