Community and music groups across Shannonside Northern Sound region awarded over €31,000 in funding

Community and music groups across the Shannonside Northern Sound region have been awarded over €31,000 in funding.

The announcement has been made by Music Network as part of the Music Capital Scheme 2020.

The largest allocation in the region is being made to Youth Work Ireland Midlands of over €11,000.

Monaghan Youth Federation is to receive over €6,000 with the Clontibret Pipe Band being awarded €4,300.

The Mullingar Pipe Band is also included with over €4,200.

Comhaltas groups in Ballinasloe and Lough Allen will receive €1,500 and €2,200 respectively.

And Comhaltas in Ballinamore has also been successful for over €5,300 .
