A motorist is appearing in Court after being caught drink-driving at 155km/h in Monaghan.
The driver was detected by a Garda speed check, and was well over the 100 km/h limit.
When stopped, local Gardai discovered the driver was under the influence of alcohol and failed a roadside test.

Gardai arrested the driver, charged them and they are due to appear in Court.
Local Gardai are using the incident to remind all road users to never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and to stay within the speed limits.
