A new cycle and walking track linking Kingscourt and Dun an Rí Forest Park is expected to be complete later this summer.
Work is continuing on the 3km recreational pathway.
Cavan County Council posted an update on the project on social media today to mark “Your Council Day”.

It says work will be completed by the end of August.
Earlier this year over €90,000 was allocated to develop a new cycle route from Kingscourt to Carrickmacross under the Outdoor Recreation Scheme.
It will be known as ‘The Hill Way’.
