Over €112,000 (€112,476) in funding has been allocated to Cavan and Monaghan to enhance facilities across the two counties.
The funding has been made available through the Community Enhancement Programme.
It provides funding for local and community groups in disadvantaged areas to improve their facilities, through the purchasing or upgrading of equipment of infrastructure.

€57,000 of the allocation will be paid to Cavan groups with just over €55,000 going to groups in Monaghan.
Groups have been encouraged to apply for funding by local TD Heather Humphreys and Senator Joe O’Reilly.
