Education and training centre for young adults with autism to open in Cavan

An education and training centre for adults with autism is to open in Cavan in the coming weeks.

The initiative will aim to create a space for young adults to continue their education after they’ve finished secondary school.

Cavan Autism Education and Training Centre will be based in Latt, and will be welcoming a small number of people in the summer as part of a pilot project.

Bernie Nelson, one of the parents involved and the founder of Cavan Autism Parents Support, says the education given will cater to individual needs.
