An extension of the schools meals programme has been announced.
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphreys launched the extended scheme in Inniskeen this morning.
€118 million has been allocated to allow the schools meals programme throughout the summer.

The scheme would not ordinarily run during the summer months but a decision was made to extend it due to the ongoing pandemic.
