A post mortem is due to take place today on the body of a man in his 70s who died in a road crash in Leitrim on Tuesday morning.
The man was involved in a single-vehicle crash at around 11 am at Killaneen, Ballinamore. on the R208.
The man, who was the only occupant of the car, suffered serious injuries in the crash and was taken to Cavan General Hospital where he later died.

The road was closed for a forensic examination last night but has since reopened to traffic.
A post mortem on his remains is due to take place at Sligo University hospital later today.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
