Gardaí in Ballyconnell are warning people of scam phone calls in the area.
They say a number of people in the area have reported receiving calls from people claiming they're from Eir.
They're told their broadband usage is too high before the caller asks for bank account details and other personal information.

Gardaí say in one case over the weekend a person had a sum of money stolen from their account after passing on their bank details.
They're appealing for people to be vigilant.
