Government suggests social welfare rates will increase in next Budget

The Government’s given a strong indication that social welfare rates will be increased in the Budget.

It’s believed benefits like the pension and jobseekers allowance could be going up, as inflation is rising.

Social Protection Minister, Heather Humphreys, says they're being looked at.
