Tourists should not be coming to Ireland right now.
That's the statement from the Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney as cabinet meets this afternoon.
It comes after worries about US tourists coming to Ireland and spreading Covid-19.
American Airlines this afternoon said fewer than 20 people arrived on each of two flights into Dublin from Dallas over the weekend.
The carrier says it will operate three flights a week from the Texas city throughout the summer.
Over 8,000 people were reported to have tested positive in the state on Sunday.
Measures are being talked about today and at another cabinet meeting later this week.
But the government won't ban flights in - and is instead talking about stepping up the tracking of people who arrive in to make sure they self isolate.
Sinn Féin TD Darren O'Rourke has called for stricter measures for the US but Transport Minister Eamon Ryan has played down the impact of US flights.
However, business owners are looking for guidance on what action should be taken to deal with tourists who have not self-isolated - with some cancelling their bookings.
