Information Events on preferred route for Phase 2 of Ulster Canal Greenway get underway this evening

Information Events on the preferred route for the Ulster Canal Greenway are getting underway this evening.

Following public consultation last year, a route for Phase 2 of the project from Middletown to Smithborough has now been selected.

Landowners, local residents and the public are being invited to view the plans, which will be displayed at three events over the coming weeks.

The first is being held in Tyholland this evening, with those attending asked to pre-book as part of Covid-19 restrictions.

Anthony Morrow is the Project Manager of the Greenway and told Northern Sound News that planning could be sought for this route by next month.
