Lights on the Cavan town greenway have been switched on.
Built on the former railway, it runs from Cavan General Hospital to Loreto Road and was completed last year.
Lighting on the route was turned on this week to allow it be used during the evening.

The recent meeting of the local Municipal District heard up-lighting of a bridge on the route has also been put in place.
The meeting also heard signs discouraging dumping and urging people to clean up after their dogs will also be erected along the route.
