A local Garda has been questioned on allegations of fraud.
The Garda, who's based in the Cavan-Monaghan Division, has been suspended as part of the investigation.
They were arrested over the past two weeks and was questioned by Gardaí in the neighbouring Meath Division who are investigating the allegation.

Shannonside Northern Sound News has confirmed the investigation centres around allegations the Garda fraudulently overclaimed tens of thousands of euro in income protection supports.
Responding to a query from this station, the Garda Ombudsman GSOC said it "is not aware of the incident" but said it's "not be unusual for the Gardaí to investigate their own members without independent oversight".
