The manager of a local theatre says it "doesn't make sense" to open under the current 'Living with Covid' restrictions.

Padraig McIntyre, manager of the Ramor Theatre in Virginia, says the theatre could only cater for 27 people under the current guidelines, and he says this "wouldn't work for anybody".

The entire country is currently on level two restrictions, whereby up to 50 are permitted in theatres and strict social distancing must be enforced.

However, Mr McIntyre welcomed the decision to permit up to 100 patrons for the majority of outdoor venues, something which will allow the Ramor Theatre's culture night event on Friday to go ahead:
