Man accused of murder of toddler in south Armagh refused bail

The man accused of the murder of a toddler in south Armagh last year has been refused bail. Pakistani national, 31 year old Sharyar Ali

The man accused of the murder of a toddler in south Armagh last year has been refused bail.

Pakistani national, 31 year old Sharyar Ali of Westenra Terrace in Monaghan appeared before Armagh Magistrates Court yesterday.

He's accused of the murder of 11 month old Hunter McGleenon in Keady in November 2019.

He died of head and abdomen injuries.

Mr Ali denies any wrongdoing and claims the injuries were the result of a fall from a couch.

He reapplied for bail in Court yesterday but this was denied.

He'll appear in Court again in early July.
