A man will appear in Court today as part of a Garda investigation into thefts from the Clontibret area of Monaghan.
The man was arrested in Monaghan town on Tuesday night after gardaí stopped a vehicle.
The driver was arrested and questioned at Monaghan Garda station under the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.

Gardaí also carried out a search of a premises and recovered a number of suspected stolen items and a quantity of cannabis.
A Garda spokesperson says the man has been charged with handling stolen property, fraud and drugs offences.
He'll appear in Cavan District Court today.
