A man is recovering after a dramatic rescue in Ballyconnell, County Cavan on Saturday afternoon.
Two passers-by assisted the man in his 50s who entered the water at Woodford Park in the town just after lunchtime yesterday.
Emergency services, including ambulances and Gardai attended the scene, and the man was taken to Cavan University Hospital, where he received medical attention.
