The Rural and Community Development Minister says she hopes communities in the region will make the most of the €11 million LEADER funding announced for the region today.
Almost €5 million in funding was announced for the Northern Sound region this morning.
The LEADER funding, announced by local Minister Heather Humphreys, will go towards, locally-led projects in rural areas.
Locally, Cavan is receiving €2.5 million, while Monaghan is to get €2.4 million.
Announcing the funding today, Rural and Community Development Minister and Cavan-Monaghan TD Heather Humphreys said she's delighted.

Announcing the funding today, Cavan-Monaghan TD Minister Heather Humphreys said this is a good opportunity for communities across the region:
