Monaghan Fire Service are appealing for people to never leave cooking utensils unattended.
The warning comes after two units attended a domestic fire at Drumbear in the town yesterday evening.
Breathing Apparatus had to be used by crews to put out the kitchen fire at the house.

People are being reminded to not leave the oven or stove when cooking, and to be vigilant for fire hazards.
