Next year's Leaving Cert examinations should be modified for the current Fifth Year students.
That's according to Margaret Conlon, a former Fianna Fáil TD who is the principal of St Louis Secondary School in Monaghan Town.
She says Fifth Year students who will be entering their Leaving Cert in the next academic year face many difficulties due to the covid-19 pandemic.

Margaret Conlon says nothing can compensate for classroom teaching and that "blended" or remote learning is impossible for many students due to poor broadband connectivity.
She told Shannonside Northern Sound that Fifth Year students have missed out on essential learning, and next year's examinations should reflect this:
