A Monaghan woman has been named the Specsavers Smile Maker 2020.
Bernie Sherry, while undergoing her own cancer treatment created 'Make your Ceili', which became 'Phone your Ceili', to combat loneliness for those isolated during Lockdown.
During a video call with UK celebrities Martin and Roman Kemp, Bernie said that dealing with cancer treatment alone made her realise that a text or phone call could make all the difference.

She was awarded €1,000 which she has donated to Scotstown GAA for mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
