A motorist in Co Cavan has been arrested after gardaí responded to reports of dangerous driving over the weekend.
The offending vehicle had undertaken a number of cars along the hard shoulder on the N3, at a time when road conditions were hazardous.
The vehicle was intercepted by Bailieborough gardaí and the driver was brought to Bailieborough Garda Station and charged to court.

On Saturday past, Bailieborough gardaí also issued a number of fixed payment notices for the illegal use of disabled parking bays.
