Dozens of cars covered the street today as Mullagh’s oldest resident celebrated his 100th Birthday.
Arthur Saunders is originally from Court Devenish, grew up in Athlone, and has now settled in Mullagh where he is spending his retirement from the railway network in London.
Lockdown has meant Arthur could not meet his friends for dancing, go for a pint, or celebrate special occasions with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

However, today he says he saw friends he hasn’t seen in months, and both he and his family were overwhelmed that so many turned out.
