NCT Centres in Cavan and Monaghan won't re-open until next month

Three NCT centres that serve the Shannonside region have re-opened today as part of phase three of government plans.

However, centres in the Northern Sound region won't re-open until July.

Castlerea in Roscommon as well as Longford and Mullingar were all due to re-open today but test centres in Carrick-on-Shannon, Cavan and Monaghan, are scheduled to -reopen on a phased basis from the next month.

The Road safety Authority has also confirmed that driving test centres in the region will re-open on phased basis in the coming weeks after 14 test centres re-opened across the country this morning for trucks, buses and motorcycles.
