New book on a Monaghan woman becoming the UK's oldest hairdresser

A book has been written about how a Monaghan woman became the UK's oldest hairdresser.

Linda Sherlock has documented the story about her 91 year old mother and this remarkable title.

Margaret Sherlock was born in Bragan in 1930 and trained in Aughnacloy before emigrating to England where she opened her own salon.

"Shampoo and Set" is a memoir of Margaret's 75 years of experience, particularly how the sector has changed since the 50s and 60s.

Linda says that despite her age, her mother has no plans to slow down.
