Northern Sound Journalists nominated in Mental Health Media Awards

Two Northern Sound Journalists have been nominated for awards for their work around mental health.

Aaron McElroy and Sheila Naughton are among those nominated in the Headline Mental Health Media Awards.

Aaron has been nominated for his work in the newsroom dealing with topics or issues related to mental ill health, while Sheila made the short list for her work raising awareness of eating disorders.

Meanwhile, Aaron Hughes from Clones has also been nominated this year.

He's been vocal about his struggles with mental ill health and spoke to Northern Sound last year about his suicide attempts.

The award winners will be announced in early December.
