Over €200,000 has been announced for local heritage buildings.
The funding from the Department of Heritage is part of €3 million made available under the Historic Structures Fund.
Among the local projects, St Macartan's Cathedral in Monaghan will receive €160,000 over the next two years, with another €18,000 going towards works at the former Railway Station in the town.

In total, Cavan is receiving €15,000 for works at Owendoon in Bawnboy.
