Planning permission has been granted for the development of a new Chapel of Rest in Cavan.
O'Reilly Funeral Directors had sought permission to change the use of a commercial unit on the Bailieborough Road, Mullagh from a beauty salon to a chapel of rest, alongside exterior signage to the front elevation, and all ancillary site development works.
Applicants Shane P. and Elisha O'Reilly previously stated they are hopeful that the Chapel and associated facilities will be up and running by the end of the year.
